FAITH STATEMENT

WE BELIEVE in the divine inspiration of both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible and therewith the infallibility of the Holy Scripture, which is God’s Word, and in the eternal Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In these Testaments we find the complete plan and revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men; and the final authority for all Christian faith and life.

WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ was God manifested in the flesh, true God and true man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. (John 1:1)

WE BELIEVE in His sinless life, His miraculous ministry, His substitutionary death on the cross as atonement for our sins, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His ascension into heaven to serve as our intercessor before the Father.

WE BELIEVE that all who believe in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior are justified through His shed blood and have become children of God. The salvation of man is wholly a work of God’s free grace and is not the work, in whole or part, of human works or goodness or religious ceremony. (Eph 2:8-9)

WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit has come into the world to reveal and glorify Christ and to apply the saving work of Christ to men. He continually indwells man from the moment of spiritual birth and seals them until the day of redemption. Every believer is called to live in the fullness of power and control of the Holy Spirit so that he will not fulfill the lust of the flesh but will bear fruit to the glory of God.

WE BELIEVE that water Baptism is by election of the Believer and is an essential element of the Christian walk. Full emersion in the Baptismal water fulfills the clothing of one-self in the death , burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Col 3:2)

WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to disciple men of every nation. The fulfillment of that Great Commission requires that all worldly and personal ambitions be subordinated to a total commitment to “Christ also has loved is and given Himself for us.” (Eph 5:2)

WE BELIEVE the Lord’s Supper is to be observed by the Church, as instructed and taught by Jesus Christ Himself. “For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.” (1 Cor 11:23-26)

WE BELIEVE that God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures and for mutual encouragement. (Heb 10:25)

WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image of God and that each individual person is valuable and precious in God’s sight and that the Church is called to embrace, nurture and reveal the goodness of the Lord to all who come to her doors. The salvation and restoration of mankind is to be of primary importance to the Body of Believers. All believers being part of the Body of Christ. (1Cor 12:12)

WE BELIEVE in the laying on of hands with the anointing of oil of the healing of the sick, for ordination and impartation, as demonstrated in the New Testament. “And these signs shall follow those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:17)

WE BELIEVE that the nation of Israel is Biblically ordained by God and that all members of the body of Christ, and all nations are to stand by her, as Israel remains the apple of God’s eye. “For he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.” (Zech 2:8) and, “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you.” (Gen 12:3)

WE BELIEVE that there shall be a bodily resurrection of the dead. At physical death the believer enters immediately into eternal, conscious fellowship with the Lord.

WE BELIEVE in the Rapture of the Church. For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive…(1 Thes 4:16-17)

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ will come again to the earth, personally, visibly, to consummate history and the eternal plan of God.
