Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.   Heb 11:1

Anxiety Free Living

Here are some things to do that should combat anxiety or fears...

Meditate on the Word of God, especially scriptures such as:

Philippians 4:6-7 --Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests      be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through          Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:11-13 --Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know          how to be abased, and I know how to abound.  Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry,          both to abound and to suffer need.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

2 Timothy 1:7 --For God has not given us a spirit or fear, but of power and of a sound mind.

Jeremiah 29:11-14 --"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, " plans to prosper you and not to harm you,        plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  I will be          found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.  I will gather you from all the nations and places            where I have banished you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.

Joshua 1:9 --"Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD        your God
is with you wherever you go."

John 14:15-18 --"If you love Me, keep My commandments.  And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper,          that He may abide with you forever---the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor                knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.  I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you."

Proverbs 3:5-6 --Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways                        acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

1 John 4:18 --There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment.  But he who fears has          not been made perfect in love.

Deuteronomy 31:6 --"Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you.  He will not leave you nor forsake you."

Isaiah 41:10 --Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Romans 8:28 --And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

1 Peter 2:9 --But your are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

1 Peter 5:6-7 -- Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Matthew 28:18-20 --And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen

Romans 8:31-39 --What then shall we say to these things?  If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?  Who shall bring a charge against God's elect?  It is God who justifies.  Who is he who condemns?  It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.  For I am persuaded that neither life nor death, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, no things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Peter 5:10 -- But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Meditate on these scriptures, do not just read them!  Slowly read and absorb each word...write them out on 3x5 cards and carry them with you for work or whenever and wherever you get anxious or afraid...pull them out and read them like a concealed carry weapon.

Pray for His peace, the peace of Jesus...John 16:33, John 14:27.

Listen to light soothing worship music...not all Christian music is soothing.  Avoid stressful TV shows, especially the 24/7 news, try substituting light shows, maybe the Hallmark channels.

Before you go to bed ask for restful sleep...and sweet dreams, and for Him to take your fears!  Play worship music on low through the night.

Remember God is in control...so we don't have to be. God does not wake up each morning shocked over last night's events.  2 Chronicles 20:5-22 --We have to show up to the battle but the "Battle belongs to the Lord!"

Continue to go to live church services when you can, or virtual services when you can't, and of course, have your "Coffee with the Pastor!!" (l0l) (on YouTube every morning at 10 a.m.)

Hope this helps!  Be Blessed!
